From the first design sketch to the last delivery, UFP manages the entire packaging journey under one roof — removing the complexity, cost and risk of dealing with multiple suppliers.
UFP's strength in the design process is technical: taking established brand designs and translating them accurately and efficiently into fully optimised, production-ready packaging formats. Brand identity and creative direction are typically led by our clients and their appointed marketing agencies — and where there's no time or resource for that, our team can also help with quick visual concepts to keep a project moving.
This is a specialist skill. It requires deep knowledge of print processes, material behaviour, manufacturing tolerances and retail requirements — knowledge that most creative agencies simply don't have. We bridge the gap between creative vision and operational delivery, ensuring every design is executed with precision and consistency across all formats.
We deliver both flexographic and rotogravure printing — two of the most capable and reliable technologies in flexible packaging — through our trusted print partner network. HD Flexo plates deliver photographic-quality results across both short and long production runs.
We operate an extended network of digital supply chain partners both in the UK and globally. This enables initial design concepts to be tested in market through digital printing — offering shorter run flexibility and speed to market for time-sensitive or test-driven requirements — before scaling into full flexographic or rotogravure production.
Contract packing is where UFP was founded — and where 30 years of operational experience shows most. Our 100,000+ sq ft facilities across Lunsford Road and Sunningdale Road run over 20 production lines, giving us the capacity to handle anything from a single short run to regular high-volume co-packing for major UK brands.
We pack across a range of flexible formats: flow wrap, stand-up pouches and flat-bottom bags. Our production team has the expertise to advise on the right format for your product, your margins and your retail environment.
Our Sunningdale storage facility is purpose-built for brand owners. It goes well beyond conventional finished goods warehousing — Sunningdale is designed to receive, hold and manage both finished products ready for distribution and incoming components for processing and packaging.
This matters most for clients who import materials from the Far East. Containers can be received directly into Sunningdale, components held in readiness for each production run, and orders placed directly with our operations team — who automatically call in the required components for packing. No external coordination. No additional handling by the brand owner. The entire process is managed from a single point.
Phase 1: 2,500 allocated pallet spaces · Expandable to 3,500 · Bespoke WMS · Component & finished goods storage · Far East container receipt
The final step in the UFP process is delivery — direct to your retailers, distribution centres or warehouses. Because we handle storage on-site, despatch is coordinated without the usual delays and handoffs that come with fragmented supply chains.
Our delivery service gives you full visibility from production through to final mile — you always know where your stock is and when it will arrive. For clients on regular programmes, we work to your confirmed schedule so you can plan around it.
The packaging industry is full of specialists. Design agencies, print houses, co-packers, storage providers, logistics companies. Each one good at their part — but none responsible for the whole. UFP is different.
No handoffs between suppliers means no delays waiting for briefs to be transferred, approvals to be re-sought or jobs to be re-quoted. Your timeline is ours.
When everything is under one roof, you get full accountability from start to finish. If something isn't right, we fix it — quickly, and without the runaround.
Managing five suppliers costs more than managing one — in time, coordination and margin. Consolidating with UFP reduces overhead across your packaging supply chain.
Whether you need one service or all five, we'll start with a conversation about your product, your volumes and your timelines — and give you an honest picture of what UFP can do for you.
