Services — UFP Universal Flexible Packaging
UFP flexible packaging production

One partner.
Every step.

From the first design sketch to the last delivery, UFP manages the entire packaging journey under one roof — removing the complexity, cost and risk of dealing with multiple suppliers.

01 Design

From brand vision to
production-ready reality.

UFP's strength in the design process is technical: taking established brand designs and translating them accurately and efficiently into fully optimised, production-ready packaging formats. Brand identity and creative direction are typically led by our clients and their appointed marketing agencies — and where there's no time or resource for that, our team can also help with quick visual concepts to keep a project moving.

This is a specialist skill. It requires deep knowledge of print processes, material behaviour, manufacturing tolerances and retail requirements — knowledge that most creative agencies simply don't have. We bridge the gap between creative vision and operational delivery, ensuring every design is executed with precision and consistency across all formats.

We work alongside your agency, not instead of them Your brand team or marketing agency leads on concept and identity. We take their artwork and refine it for technical viability — ensuring manufacturing requirements are met without compromising the original creative intent.
Technical expertise that protects your brand Our in-house specialists ensure designs are consistent, print-accurate and aligned with production requirements across every format and run length — from NPD trials to full commercial volumes.
Shelf-ready and retail-optimised Our technical capability extends through to shelf-ready packaging and pallet configuration — ensuring your product is not only manufactured correctly, but fully prepared for retail environments and supply chain efficiency.

02 Print

Up to 10 colours.
Exceptional quality, every run.

We deliver both flexographic and rotogravure printing — two of the most capable and reliable technologies in flexible packaging — through our trusted print partner network. HD Flexo plates deliver photographic-quality results across both short and long production runs.

We operate an extended network of digital supply chain partners both in the UK and globally. This enables initial design concepts to be tested in market through digital printing — offering shorter run flexibility and speed to market for time-sensitive or test-driven requirements — before scaling into full flexographic or rotogravure production.

Flexographic — up to 10 colours Rotogravure — up to 10 colours HD Flexo plates Digital printing — UK & global partners Reverse print Matt lacquer Hologram finish Cold seal In-line lamination
Flexographic printing Cost-effective for medium to long runs, with consistently high quality. HD Flexo plates bring rotogravure-level clarity to flexo production.
Rotogravure printing Cylinders that last through large-volume runs without image degradation. Ideal for premium brands where consistency across millions of units is non-negotiable.
Digital printing — test, launch, scale Through our UK and global digital supply chain partners, brands can test concepts in market on shorter runs before committing to full-volume production. Faster to market, lower risk at the NPD stage.
Premium surface finishes Full and registered matt lacquer, hologram and paper lacquer options — for brands that need their packaging to stand out in a crowded fixture.

03 Pack

20+ lines. Built for
scale and flexibility.

Contract packing is where UFP was founded — and where 30 years of operational experience shows most. Our 100,000+ sq ft facilities across Lunsford Road and Sunningdale Road run over 20 production lines, giving us the capacity to handle anything from a single short run to regular high-volume co-packing for major UK brands.

We pack across a range of flexible formats: flow wrap, stand-up pouches and flat-bottom bags. Our production team has the expertise to advise on the right format for your product, your margins and your retail environment.

04 Store

Sunningdale: a true
one-stop facility.

Our Sunningdale storage facility is purpose-built for brand owners. It goes well beyond conventional finished goods warehousing — Sunningdale is designed to receive, hold and manage both finished products ready for distribution and incoming components for processing and packaging.

This matters most for clients who import materials from the Far East. Containers can be received directly into Sunningdale, components held in readiness for each production run, and orders placed directly with our operations team — who automatically call in the required components for packing. No external coordination. No additional handling by the brand owner. The entire process is managed from a single point.

2,500 pallet spaces — Phase 1 Expandable to 3,500 spaces Solar-powered facility Bespoke WMS — real-time visibility Finished goods storage Component & import holding Schedule-based call-off Far East container receipt
Component storage — not just finished goods Unlike most co-packing warehouses, Sunningdale holds both finished products awaiting distribution and incoming components ahead of production — making it a genuine operational hub for brand owners.
Automatic production call-in Orders placed with our operations team trigger automatic component call-in for each production run. The brand owner doesn't need to coordinate logistics between storage and production — UFP handles it.
Bespoke warehouse management system Sunningdale operates on a purpose-built WMS providing real-time stock visibility and control — so you always know exactly what you have, where it is, and when it moves.
Solar-powered and built to grow Phase 1 provides 2,500 dedicated pallet spaces, with capacity to expand to 3,500 as demand grows. The facility runs on solar power — supporting UFP's environmental and sustainability commitments.

05 Deliver

shipped on your terms.

The final step in the UFP process is delivery — direct to your retailers, distribution centres or warehouses. Because we handle storage on-site, despatch is coordinated without the usual delays and handoffs that come with fragmented supply chains.

Our delivery service gives you full visibility from production through to final mile — you always know where your stock is and when it will arrive. For clients on regular programmes, we work to your confirmed schedule so you can plan around it.

Direct to retailer Direct to DC / warehouse Schedule-based despatch Full supply chain visibility Nationwide UK delivery
Integrated with storage Stock held on-site moves to despatch without additional handling — reducing the cost and risk that comes with transferring between third-party facilities.
Retailer-ready despatch We work to the labelling, documentation and delivery requirements of UK retailers, so your stock is set up to move smoothly through their goods-in process.
Flexible volumes Whether you need a full pallet run delivered weekly or a mixed despatch at variable intervals, we work to your demand profile rather than ours.
UFP delivery and logistics
Why it matters

One partner beats five every time.

The packaging industry is full of specialists. Design agencies, print houses, co-packers, storage providers, logistics companies. Each one good at their part — but none responsible for the whole. UFP is different.

Faster to market

No handoffs between suppliers means no delays waiting for briefs to be transferred, approvals to be re-sought or jobs to be re-quoted. Your timeline is ours.

🎯

Single point of accountability

When everything is under one roof, you get full accountability from start to finish. If something isn't right, we fix it — quickly, and without the runaround.

💷

Lower total cost

Managing five suppliers costs more than managing one — in time, coordination and margin. Consolidating with UFP reduces overhead across your packaging supply chain.
